Well, yes... we do. And the older boys keep us on our toes, too!
But watching the relationship between our two "littles" grow has been an amazing experience. For the most part, they get along really well together. This is not to say that the claws don't come out (literally!) on occasion, but they are generally very sweet to each other and spend a lot of time playing together (insert Hallelujah chorus).
Oh, yes... Jason and Sarah have developed an entire system, practically overnight.
Here's the rundown (the choices aren't suprising, but still funny):
Jason can only eat out of bowls that are "boy colors." Jason informed me recently that red and blue are definitely boy colors.
Furthermore, pink and yellow are girl colors. Sarah immediately corrects me if I happen to give her a "boy bowl."
Fortunately, green and purple appear to be neutral (at least for now).
The system works flawlessly until too many bowls get stacked in the dishwasher!
Hmmm... maybe I should look for some clear plastic bowls?
But then, what would be the fun in that? ;)
5 Kind Words:
I love watching Sofi and Lize's relationship blossom (most days). I luv the way they watch out for eachother. The color thing is big here too. "no matchin" for food.
That's awesome. I just have to make sure I give my kids the exact same bowl each time. They just want what the other one has.
Jadon still wants the same color bowl or cup as Adam!
Your two littles are so cute!
Blessings,
Sarah
No color coding here. :)
I'm so glad they get a long so well. I hate to say it but I think it's time for school to start - mine won't stop fighting!!!
There is something really special about those close in age kids and their relationships, isn't there?
The color coding makes me laugh. Only because my mom has an eclectic mix of china dishes that she's purchased when patterns are being closed out. My husband and brother-in-law always dig though the stack to find "manly" plates...
