Day 2 post op
(the stitches go from just under her nose to the inside of her lip)
(the stitches go from just under her nose to the inside of her lip)
And now,
Today
one week after surgery...
Wow! We are amazed at how good it (already) looks! Her upper lip is lined up beautfully and the little depression she used to have in her top lip is gone. This is Sarah's, "I'm not going to smile, but be silly instead" pose
And here she is laughing after seeing her silly pose.
Sweet girl.
Thankfully Sarah is taking this whole experience with her characteristic, "Nothing slows me down" attitude. She is definitely a very brave, resilient child.
As for me, I will freely admit that this experience has been difficult emotionally. But every day we see great progress and more signs of healing. And we are so thankful.
Now the challenge will be to keep sunscreen on the scar and make sure she wears her hat! (Oh, and try to keep her from climbing every available surface in the house and yard. Heh.)
9 Kind Words:
WOW!! no kidding! She looks amazing... beautiful as EVER! Glad she is taking it all in stride... kids are SO resilient! It's a little harder on us mamas, though, I know.
Good luck with the whole 'climbing' thing!! ~ if you figure out how to tame your little monkey, let me know... Khloe is a monkey, too!! ;)
So glad that she is doing well! You are invited to a tea party at my blog site, Thursday, June 30th. Please wear a hat as it will be a garden tea. Blessings-Joy
She looks as cute as ever! All of "the boys" talk about her everyday. They miss your kids! If you have a time that would work, they would LOVE to play with her and of course Jason too!
She looks WONDERFUL!!
Looks wonderful. Good luck keeping a hat on.
BEAUTIFUL!!
It really does look great!!
THAT is the most amazng smile!! Yes, crazy time of year to be on top of the sunscreen :-)
Adorable girl!
