Photo B: "We're smiling as HARD as we can, mama!"
Photo C: Jason is the funniest brother Sarah has ever seen!
Photo D: Fifteen shots later and the end of everyone's patience..this is the best photo we got!
We have been wanting to get a professional family picture done for a while now, but it just hasn't happened. So yesterday we found out that we needed a family photo for our six month post placement report (adoption paperwork). After dinner, we made the kids change clothes and herded them out to the backyard (not the most exotic setting, but it was handy!)
Here's the family shot for the report. Surprisingly enough, we only took a few of these and they turned out pretty good. Justin propped up my camera and used the timer, which we have never done before. Maybe the kids were hypnotized by the flashing red light? :)
Dave was going to stand behind the rock, but we had issues with sunlight on the side of his face... so we had to improvise. This photo shows you how tall our boys are now compared to their mama!
11 Kind Words:
Wow! That's a great family photo. Your boys are so handsome, and Sarah is a doll.
Blessings,
Sarah
that's why I have learned photoshop!! Then I can do some editing to make sure everyone is looking the same way! Cute kids!! Your family pic looks great too!!
Gwen!
Your family is so beautiful. What a wonderful set of photos. the one I like best is the whole family photo. Congratulations, another milestone.
You always take great photo's! Your boys are handsome and tall too. Little Sarah is as cute as ever. My Sophie asks me almost everyday why Jason and Sarah aren't coming here to play. We miss them. Sounds like you are having a great summer.
Those are GREAT pictures! I wish I could get one like that of my kids!!
Great pictures Gwen. I feel you pain. It is so hard to get all the kids to look at the camera and smile at the same time.
Gwen,
Do you look at pictures like those and just think to yourself, "Wow! I have a great family! I am one lucky bug!" ? What a beautiful family. I love reading your blog. It is fun to keep up with what's going on in your life.
Hi Gwen! I lost your email so I thought I could "talk" to you this way! I cannot believe how much Sarah and Presley are alike!! Presley has been potty training herself too! She has used the potty about 5 times on her own (2 of those times were poops!!) I'm still not pushing it and only put her on when she says potty, but she HATES wearing her diaper. Lots of times I will put her in a dress (that is all she will wear anyway) and then not put anything on underneath. If she has underwear on she will pee in those, but won't pee if she doesn't have anything on. Good luck to you and Sarah!! How great that must feel being so close to no diapers. With Landon's sensory issues, we are probably 1-2 years away with him. Can you send me your email address? Mine is amelise68@yahoo. Thanks!!!
that is just a wonderful family photo! so great!!
Great family pic! Is Justin taller than you now? Caiden still has about an inch-and-a-half before he is as tall as me.
