Vacation recap (part 1)

So... I feel a little bit like I'm pulling down a screen in my living room and forcing you to watch a vacation slideshow... haha

The best thing about a hotel along the way? The pool, of course.

Our first full day at the beach was a little overcast. We took a stroll along the pier...

where we met this handsome fellow and...

read a nearby sign that offered some timely advice.

Jason walking along the pier.

We also visited the Mission San Luis Rey (founded in 1798). The missions are an important part of California history and settlement. We enjoyed the museum and walking around the grounds.

My best FIND of the trip! I found this beauty on day one!
End of slideshow... part 1

We were in the same neck of the woods for part of last week! We went to Ventura, Hollywood, San Diego, and then up to San Francisco. We were soooo exhausted when we got home.

Looks like you had a great time!

This looks like a great get away!
Glad you had a good time.
I have to smile at the kids in the hotel pool picture...
It doesn't matter if we have a pool or not, when we're traveling it seems like the kids can't wait to try out the hotel pool. It's always way more fun than ours!

The pier picture is beautiful.

Now I'm on tenterhooks waiting for part 2!!!! You are too funny. And I loved the glimpse into your vacation, even if you forced us to see them. *grin*

What beautiful photos! I love the beaches and the sand...even the overcast weather looks appealing when you are from Minnesota!! ;) Though we really cannot complain. We've had some really nice weather over the last month, and the earliest spring in over a decade!

Love that pretty shell you found! I can almost feel my toes squishing in the sand now!! ;)

Hugs,
Tanya

What fun. I totally miss the beach. The beach always reminds me of how many toys my kids really "don't" need.
