Hello! Where did all these come from? I mean, I knew they had ONE of these, but holy cow! They must be tossing Axe Body Wash into the shopping cart at breakneck speed when they go to Walmart with Dad (haha).
So, needless to say, the boys share a very fragrant bathroom. I have been advising them that a little fragrance goes a long way (at least they aren't slathering themselves in cologne... um, yet!)
I am struggling with the fact that we are parents of a teenager and an almost teenager. I'm not ready for this!! Because, you see, it seems like just yesterday when we were getting Sears portraits done of our two little boys...

So my goal for this year (and from now on) is to "enjoy the ride" and remember to live in the moment with my kids. Things get pretty hectic around here sometimes! As I toss in yet another load of laundry, buckle up Jason and Sarah's car seats to run errands, and rush to a ball game, it is pretty easy to focus on just "getting it done."
So each day I try to focus on those sweet every day moments that will make for a lifetime of happy memories. Because those moments are definitely there, and will be gone all too quickly.
9 Kind Words:
Yes. Enjoy the moment. We aren't quite to the teen years, but I do know that time flies!
Very cute!! I'm glad they like to smell good!! I hope I too can slow down and enjoy the ride. It's hard when there is so much to do. I really should eliminate some "stuff" and enjoy life more!!
Cute post and great wisdom in the slowing down part.
Boy, isn't that the truth. On those days I wish I could just have a little peace and quiet, I remember what my mom told me ... "Don't wish this time away ... someday you will wish there was some noise because the kids have all moved out and it's too quiet." Enjoy every minute of it.
I miss those two little pumpkins knocking on my back door. My, how time has flown!
Old Spice is the scent of choice in our house so far.
I've been wanting to call you, but I've been sick and talking very long hurts! *sigh*
i am right there with you. we have had the "axe asphyxiation" talk, too.
as a mom of a 16yo- it certainly does go fast...
you are doing a great job!
xoxo-j.
I remember when Justin was in kindergarten and would come to your class after school. Am I getting old?
Great words to remember, thanks Gwen!
such a good point: to stop and sabot and save those wonderful everday moments! Thanks.
