I knew today would be busy, after a long week of no news because of the Chinese Moon festival holiday. We got an email with new pictures of Sarah from New Day, and a phone call from Morgan regarding our travel plans and consulate appointment. It looks like we will be leaving on Oct. 31. We have a couple more travel issues to iron out, but hopefully we can purchase tickets soon. And I literally have a thousand things to do before the end of the month. Sigh. Trying to stay focused, but my brain is like mush.
6 Kind Words:
yeah for you and your family! this is all so exciting- she is a lucky little girl, to have found her mama!
our youngest has a ton of hair- we do lots of pony tails and bangs. we rely on generic spray detangler, too!
safe travels!
I'm so excited for you guys - I want to come with you!! Sarah is so adorable, and will be so loved. Sorry, still can't help you with the hair. :)
I'm so excited you finally have a travel date and I'm so glad that you are going. It's going to be such an amazing experience. As for the hair I'm way into that with Melanie. There are a bunch of blogs out there with tons of good ideas. Check out Babes in Hairland, one of her daughters has just a little hair like Sarah. She will have links to bunches of others. Good luck on getting everything ready in time. At least you can do your Christmas shopping in China for next to nothing!!
Megan has hair just like Sarah's, fine and really straight, and all I can say is those little tiny elastics that look like braces elastics are my best friend! I buy them in little boxes of at least 100. Buy several at a time, you go through tons. But there are lots of fun things you can do. You can come over and I can give you some ideas if you want. http://shedoeshair.blogspot.com/ This is my favorite hair website, she loves the little elastics too and uses them a lot. And she has lots of links to other blogs also.
I don't like bangs, they're too hard to maintain. But then you have to do her hair every day so it won't be in her face. Good luck!
She is so sweet. She is getting big. I can't wait to see her. The days are getting closer! I got goosebumps when I saw the picture of her smiling and pointing to your picture.
Gwen,
I'm so happy for your family. I can't wait to hear how it goes and to see more photos after you come back with your little girl.
As for hair, I found, especially with straight hair, that the longer it is, the better, because then you can capture it all in barrettes or hair clips, etc...
When it is medium length, it keeps falling out..., especially with straight and/or fine hair.
Congratulations to your family again.
