Sarah is 17 months old!

Got this email from New Day on Friday afternoon. The report is written by Sarah's foster mother. (No picture this time, it was the one of the same photos taken when she got our last care package).

"Sarah Mei has grown a lot this month, and now she is quite strong. She has learned how to walk and is quite adept at it. She is very smart and is able to learn and remember the things that she is taught. She now can accurately point out where her eyes, nose, and mouth are when she is asked. Sarah Mei likes reading very much, and her favorite thing to do is to listen as I read out loud to her. She can recognize the sun, the moon, and many other pictures. Sarah Mei is a polite and respectful young lady who always asks her grandparents to eat first. We love Sarah Mei very much!"

Uh, does anyone speak Mandarin? :) We are going to have to learn some simple phrases, I think! I've been looking at different language programs and online language courses.
We are really close to receiving LOA. I have a feeling we will get it this coming week! (But I'm trying to prepare myself for a longer wait if necessary.)
We are very excited to think we will be moving forward soon, but at the same time my heart aches for Sarah's sweet foster parents, who have loved and cared for her since she was about 4 months old. We owe such a debt of gratitude for their love and kindness.
