It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

Wow, we've been so busy we almost didn't squeak in a visit to our favorite pumpkin patch.

We planned to go on Saturday and woke up to pouring rain.  :(
We headed out anyway, and the rain let up enough that we were able to pick our pumpkins without being soaked.  And the rain kept the crowds away, so the kids had the playground mostly to themselves.

The corn maze

Thought this was a sweet picture (even though Miss Sarah was doing pretty well all by herself!)

Everyone loved the big inflatable slides.

Fearless...

Right place, right time... with a camera!

While searching for a good spot to take some fall pictures of the kids.... (more on that later!), I spotted some deer right on the side of the road.  Luckily I had my camera in the van and was able to snap a couple of shots before they took off.
Jason and Sarah were with me but were more interested in the dog we saw a few minutes later.  Go figure.   :)

A **birthday** camping adventure! (part 3 of 3 in the camping series!!)

Remember me?  I'm the one who doesn't enjoy camping... going camping yet again!  Ah, the things we do for our kids!  ;)

Last weekend we went camping with some great friends to the sand dunes.  Logan and his friend K were born one day apart and have been friends since they were toddlers.

Happy birthday, Logan!  You are a sweet boy, a great brother, and an excellent example to your friends and family.   We love you!!

Another camping adventure...

I love the fall.   Love it.   Cooler temps, softer light, beautiful colors... it's my most favorite season.    Last weekend we went to Grandma and Grandad's house.   We spent the day "camping" on their land.

Everyone had a great time (which is sometimes tricky due to the age ranges of the kiddos)

The big boys had a great time...

The littles had a great time!  Ditches and dirt!

And the dog?  The dog had the best. day. ever.  :)   So many smells to sniff!  So much freedom!  Ditches and dirt!

Excuse me, but I must be on my way...

Even though this campsite lacked my "favorite amenities" :o),
it was a fun family day!
